We, Öktener & Öktener Law Firm (“Öktener”) have prepared this Privacy Notice in order to inform you about the processing of your personal data in accordance with the Law on the Protection of Personal Data numbered 6698 (the “Law”) and the relevant legislation.

1. Method and Legal Grounds for Collection of Personal Data

Öktener needs your personal data in order to fulfill its legal obligations and to provide you with complete and accurate service within the scope of its legal services and consultancy activities in accordance with the Attorneyship Law. In order to benefit from legal service to be provided by our firm, personal data are collected verbally, in writing or electronically by e- mail, phone call, physical methods, etc. and by automatic or non-automatic methods specified in the Law.

2. Purposes of Processing Personal Data

Your personal data is processed for the below purposes:

. Providing legal advisory and advocacy services to our clients, the performance of our other contractual obligations, and reporting.

. To manage our business operations within the scope of services provided to clients and to manage communication with clients, their stakeholders and third parties on behalf of clients.

. To provide you with information regarding current legislative developments and to inform you by e-mail regarding our publication activities.

. To ensure information security.

. To fulfill Öktener’s obligations under the legislation, Attorneyship Law no 1136 in particular.

3. Sharing Personal Data

In case it is necessary to fulfill the purposes mentioned above with respect to the processing of your personal data, personal data you have shared with or collected by Öktener may be disclosed to third party companies from which we receive services/support/consultancy as well as competent public institutions and organizations.

Your personal data may be disclosed to competent public bodies authorized to request your information within the framework of the Turkish legislation upon their information requests and to competent judicial authorities in case of disputes.

Your personal data may be shared with event organizers venues and similar parties with respect to event organizations; the suppliers and consultants we receive services from in fields such as IT, HR, finance, accounting, auditing, design, mailing, and bulk communications; and the competent authorities in accordance with our legal obligations or the requests made by authorities authorized to request your information as per the legislation or in case of a dispute.

4.Your Rights Regarding Your Personal Data

We would like to remind you that you have the following rights under the Law:

a. The right to be informed whether their personal data has been processed or to request information about whether their personal data has been processed;

b. The right to be informed of the purposes of the data processing and whether their personal data has been used for the intended purposes;

c. The right to be informed of the third parties to whom their personal data has been transferred either domestically or abroad;

d. The right to request the rectification of incomplete or inaccurate data, if any; request the erasure or destruction of their personal data under the conditions laid down in the LPPD legislation;

e. The right to request a notification from the third parties to whom their personal data has been transferred regarding the operations carried out with respect to their aforementioned request;

f. The right to object to the processing of their personal data collected exclusively by automatic means that has led to an unfavorable consequence for them;

g. The right to request compensation for any damages arising from the unlawful processing of their personal data
